About Me

Working with children with autism and other developmental disabilities has been my career and my passion since 2005. I quickly realized how much progress could be made with children when they are a part of a quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program and returned to school to receive formal education in the field. I graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a Master's in Special Education and then completed coursework in ABA through Southern Illinois University. In January 2011, I became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

The effectiveness of ABA continues to amaze me and I love teaching others how to use the principles in their own daily lives. As a consultant, there is nothing greater than empowering others to use ABA effectively and to watch how a consistent therapeutic environment improves the quality of life in children with autism and their families. Initial language development, verbal behavior, play and social skills, and how to enjoy spending time with others are just a few of my programming specialties. Additionally, I am experienced in reducing aberrant behaviors while increasing pro-social replacement behaviors, family training, and staff training.
